At PublicServiceQuadrant, we recognize that plans may change, and we are committed to maintaining transparent and equitable refund conditions. This document details the circumstances in which refunds for yacht charter services are granted.
Before confirming your booking, please review this policy thoroughly. Agreeing to this refund policy is a condition when booking a charter with PublicServiceQuadrant.
Standard Cancellation and Refund Schedule
More than 72 Hours Before Charter
Eligible for: Complete reimbursement minus administrative costs
Processing Time: 5-7 business days
Processing Fee: €50 for transactions via credit card
Conditions: A formal request via email or telephone is necessary
24-72 Hours Before Charter
Eligible for: Half of the total charter cost
Processing Time: 7-10 business days
Processing Fee: €25 is subtracted from the reimbursement
Conditions: A legitimate reason is needed and administrative charges apply
Less than 24 Hours Before Charter
Eligible for: Refunds are not available
Exception: Consideration may be given under emergency situations
Alternative: Company discretion may allow for a charter credit offer
Conditions: Proof is required for emergency claims
Weather-Related Cancellations
Our Weather Guarantee
Safety is our paramount concern. Should weather conditions be determined unsafe for sailing by our licensed captain, flexible resolutions are offered:
- Full Refund: Provided if rearrangement isn't feasible
- Reschedule: Transfer the booking to an alternative date with no extra charge
- Charter Credit: Credit valid for one year from the original booking date
Weather Assessment Process
Our evaluation of weather includes:
- Analysis of wind speeds and directions
- Surf height and oceanic conditions
- Visibility and precipitation outlooks
- Advisories and alerts from the Coast Guard
- Captain's professional judgement on safety
Decision Timeline: Decisions on weather-related cancellations are made at least 4 hours ahead of the proposed departure.
Medical Emergency Refunds
Special Circumstances
Medical emergencies are taken into account. The conditions below might be eligible for special consideration:
- An unanticipated illness or injury needing hospital care
- A passing within the immediate family
- Unexpected military assignment or recall
- Duties associated with jury service or legal summons
- Travel-impacting natural catastrophes
Documentary Proof
Documentation is necessary to process requests related to medical emergencies:
- Hospital certificates or medical documentation
- Death certificate (when relevant)
- Official military dispatch
- Court notice or jury summons
- Travel cautions or declarations of emergency
Procedure: Upon presenting the required documents, emergency refunds are processed in 3-5 business days.
Operational Cancellations
Technical Concerns
Should the vessel booked experience irreparable technical problems:
- Alternate Vessel: Efforts will be made to supply a similar option
- Full Refund: Offered when no similar option is present
- Partial Refund: Issued if the alternate vessel has a different pricing structure
- Consolation: Additional recompense may be provided for the inconvenience
Crew Issues
In the rare event of crew unavailability:
- Replacement crew will be sought where possible
- Entire refund if the booking cannot go ahead
- Option to reschedule without extra cost
Refund Processing
Mode of Refund
Returned funds are issued back to the original method of payment:
- Credit Card Transactions: 5-7 business days
- Bank Wire Transfers: 7-10 business days
- Cash/Check: 3-5 business days
Handling Charges
Card Transaction Fee
€50 for cancellations with more than 72 hours' notice
Wire Transfer Fee
€25 for each refund via bank transfer
Foreign Transaction Charge
Extra fees may be applicable for international dealings
Charter Credits
Issuance of Credits
Charter credits could be offered instead of refunds in specific instances:
- Cancellations made less than 24 hours in advance
- Cancellations due to weather concerns
- Voluntary changes in booking dates
- Interruptions in operations
Credit Guidelines
- Validity: Active for 12 months post-issue
- Non-Transferable: Cannot be assigned to others
- Worth: Equal to the entire charter cost, without deductions
- Utilization: Applicable to any charter date available
- Expiration: No extension past 12 months
Partial Service Refunds
Interruptions in Service
If your experience is hindered or cut short due to factors within our control:
- A refund proportionate to the time unused
- Credit towards a future charter of equivalent value
- Complimentary services or enhanced offerings
Guest-Related Stoppages
Should a charter conclude prematurely owing to guest actions or breaches of safety:
- No refunds for the remaining time
- Payment in full is still mandatory
- Potential additional costs may be incurred
Dispute Resolution
If a refund decision is not to your satisfaction, these steps can be taken:
- Appeal to our management for a reassessment
- Submit extra documents or proof
- Engage consumer protection entities
- Consider legal action consistent with the law

Your application should contain:
- Proof of booking

- Explanation for the cancellation

Step 3: Consideration and Completion
Our team will confirm receipt of your request within a day, consider it against our policy, give you a decision within two days, and if accepted, carry out the reimbursement in the defined period.
Significant Notices
- All applications for refunds must be made in written form
- Reimbursements are made in € irrespective of the original currency used
- A strong recommendation for travel insurance
- This policy may undergo changes, which will be communicated with a 30 day period
- Refunds are influenced by applicable taxes and regulations
